The BARTRANZ s.r.o. was established in 1998. The Beneficiary has the professional capacity to carry out the action to be co-financed, especially in connection with the project activities connected with the extension of existing activities in the field of production of virgin oil products. The current platform includes the production of rape oil and sunflower oil. Within the project, they want to expand their activities in pumpkin oil production. Among the activities of the Beneficiary belong also food retail and wholesale.

A local company that is already producing rape and sunflower oil desires to expand and diversify its production in order to further strengthen the market position of their cross-border product and to produce pumpkin oil. In order to do so, in the existing plant the new technology will be purchased and installed. The building won´t be reconstructed, just the new technology will be placed there. These include a stainless steel tank, a pressing sticker, a filter cartridge, two screw conveyors, a mixing and hydration equipment and a steam generating machine with pipeline. New equipment:stainless steel tank of 3000 liter, 1 set pressing assortment, 1 filter cartridge, 1 screw conveyor of 700 kg + 1 normal screw conveyor, 1 mixing and hydration equipment, 1 steam generating machine, pipelines, terminal heads.

Based on analysis of the microregion, it was found that the existing potential in producing local products is not fully exploited. The main objective of the project is to increase the competitiveness and popularity of local products, and to exploit the already neglected potential so as to target the development of the microregion. As a result, the quality of local products is expected to improve, and the residents of the microregion shall support local production. The most important output of the project from the prospective of the action plan is the provision of new jobs. The results will provide benefits mainly to the following groups: self-employed tradesmen and SMEs, the unemployed and all the inhabitants of the microregion. Cross-border cooperation will help to establish a cross-border network with focus on co-operation in local production. It will provide opportunities for co-operative production of products, joint marketing and will increase the sales of products. These new products will be produced in the newly established or expanded plants that will be located in the crossborder micro-region. One plant will produce roasted seeds (such as pumpkin seed and sunflower seed), the other will produce fruit juices and other healthy drinks while the third will produce pumpkin oil as well as pressed pumpkin seed units which is a type of useful side product that can be fed to animals.
