Project description

Based on the analysis of the micro-region, it was found that the existing potential in the production of local products is not fully exploited. The main goal of the project is to increase the competitiveness and popularity of local products and thus use the neglected potential for the development of the micro-region. One of the most important results of the project is the improvement of the quality of local products and the increase of support for local production by the inhabitants of the micro-region. From the point of view of the action plan, the most important output of the project is the creation of new jobs. The achieved results bring benefits especially for the following target groups: self-employed persons, SMEs, the unemployed and all

inhabitants of the micro-region. Cross-border cooperation will help to create a cross-border network with a focus on cooperation in local production. It will provide opportunities for collaboration in product manufacturing, joint marketing and increase product sales.

These new products will be produced in newly created or expanded plants located in a cross-border micro-region. One plant will produce roasted seeds (such as pumpkin and sunflower seeds), the other will produce fruit juices and other healthy drinks, while the third will produce pumpkin oil as well as pressed pumpkin seeds as a useful by-product for animal feed.

Financing of the project

Total project costs EUR 565,325.47

he general goal of the project is to contribute to the revitalization of relations in the regional markets of the border area through the development of new products. Through the planned activities, the project will contribute to the achievement of the specific objectives of TAPE:

  • Strengthening cross-border cooperation between SMEs in the micro-region: activities will be implemented in partnership involving SMEs from both sides of the border.
  • Establish and renovate facilities for the production of local products: each partner will develop its production capacities in order to provide new products for the regional market.

Expected result

a) At the level of the three beneficiaries:

All three beneficiaries will significantly expand their production capacity and introduce new local products.

Cserehát-völgy Ltd. will produce roasted pumpkin seed as a new product.

János Dsupin will start fruit processing and fruit juice production on the basis of his own apricot farm located in Fancsala.

Bartranz s.r.o. will supplement its product portfolio with pumpkin oil. In terms of better product quality, a new store and dryer will be built. The human capacities of the beneficiaries will be developed accordingly.

b) At the level of the regional, local product market:

As a result of the project and during it, 3 people will get a job and based on the financial forecasts of entrepreneurs, it is expected that additional workers will be employed in the coming years. TAPE itself will give the project more visibility; while the project itself will facilitate the transfer of TAPE. In this way, other farmers in the region may be motivated to invest in processing, which will increase the volume of local products and the number of new jobs.

The main mission of these two PILOT projects for small and medium-sized enterprises is to demonstrate the ability of regional SMEs to contribute effectively to the development of a regional local product market, which will accelerate integration and production processes.

The project also contains the procurement of some of the necessary machinery. The plant will be built on a surface of 100m2 with a concrete structure. The infrastructure investment includes the entire thermal insulation of the building, the provision of the doors, the electricity network, and the water system. Among the equipment needed for production, the production line for fruit processing is procured from the project. A juice making plant with the following equipment: fruit washer 1x, corer machine 1x, corer roller 2x, seed mincer 1x ,pressing machine 2x, pulp pump ,pulp puffer container 1x, dense material pump 1x, pasteuriser 1x, pre-heater machine 1x, peeler, fruit drying unit 1x, automatic filler 1x, working table with shelf 4x ,stainless sink 1x

Based on analysis of the microregion, it was found that the existing potential in producing local products is not fully exploited. The main objective of the project is to increase the competitiveness and popularity of local products, and to exploit the already neglected potential so as to target the development of the microregion. As a result, the quality of local products is expected to improve, and the residents of the microregion shall support local production. The most important output of the project from the prospective of the action plan is the provision of new jobs. The results will provide benefits mainly to the following groups: self-employed tradesmen and SMEs, the unemployed and all the inhabitants of the microregion. Cross-border cooperation will help to establish a cross-border network with focus on co-operation in local production. It will provide opportunities for co-operative production of products, joint marketing and will increase the sales of products. These new products will be produced in the newly established or expanded plants that will be located in the crossborder micro-region. One plant will produce roasted seeds (such as pumpkin seed and sunflower seed), the other will produce fruit juices and other healthy drinks while the third
